Hallam Give is Sheffield Hallam's crowdfunding platform

Hallam Give is a bespoke crowdfunding site for students and staff at Sheffield Hallam University. Hallam Give empowers our community to set up creative and innovative projects to enhance and engage the University community and beyond.

We are a community of creators, collaborators and donors who enable innovative and transformational projects to take place. Whether it's a project to take a play to the Edinburgh Fringe, work abroad or kickstart a new business venture, Hallam Give offers students and staff the opportunity to create projects which otherwise may be out of reach.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is funding of a project by many individual donors, each making an donation in return for a small reward, like a t-shirt or a project poster. Hallam Give provides a platform to showcase projects to an unlimited audience, and gives people an easy way to donate.

How do I create a project?

Just login and enter a few key details: a project pitch for why people should give, a funding target with completion date, and rewards for pledges. Images and videos can also bring your project to life! We offer advice, tips, and feedback all along the way.

Are there any fees?

We cover the costs of payment processing fees, so that you always get 100% of the value of your pledges.

What is 'all-or-nothing funding'?

Every project must achieve its minimum needed by its completion date or the project does not get its funding. Why? Part of the appeal of crowdfunding is that donors get to engage with projects and see where their money is going.
